The Tarahumara runners from Copper Canyon came to The Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati and ran well. Everything was new for them- air travel, the big city, crowds. And beyond this they had never run a timed 5K or 10K or marathon. And they are used to running trails, not asphalt. So to place 3rd and 4th overall and first each in their divisions was excellent.
